With an ever growing number of protected designation of origin (PDO), protected geographical indication (PGI) and traditional speciality guaranteed (TSG) products, the benefit of establishing a database of certified producers, processors, traders and others relevant to supply chains to enhance supply chain integrity and the use of tools that can handle not only these certification, but others as well, is examined in this article.
